The Heartland chapter of the American Council of the Blind has been meeting (nearly) every month since early 2011 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church the third Monday of each month, at 7 p.m.
We meet to share information, listen to guest speakers, socialize, and plan activities and events.
Starting in July, we are going to start meeting in room 28 of the Monroe County Library, Kirkwood Ave., July 21st, at 6:30 p.m. After much consideration and research of possible presenters, as well as comments from our group members, our chapter officers and I decided to go ahead with our meeting location change, but to keep our same meeting date and time.
We will have in attendance Yael Ksander, from WFIU, interested in art for people with low-vision and the idea of touch tours. He would like to hear of our experience and can share some information about his project.
We hope you can join us!
